HVAC units set this week and waiting for ductwork through the barrel roof wall.  Each unit is 25 tons and will allow great flexibility.

This is a shot of the old "swamp cooler" style fan.  The old filter panels were removed on the far wall and replaced with a metal blanking. To see other shots go to the HVAC page
This shows the structure that holds the units off the roof for maintenance.  It is welded to the beams spanning the stage with loads transferred to masonry walls.

The back stage doors were un sealed to create a performers entry and loading dock.  Stage and dressing ducts for installation.

NE shot of the penthouse and barrel roof, both with new roofing and metal sealing.  The Daily Ardmoreite, once Gilbert Building, is in the distance.

A SE view of the south penthouse with a new roof and access door.  Notice the Carter County Courthouse in the distance.

Larry from Allied Services installs the HVAC grills in the lobby ceiling.  Notice the old ticket windows behind the ladder to the left prior to their widening.....right.

The old ticket windows were designed for cash receipts.  The wider windows will better serve refreshments.  Note the rails that is now the logo.

The windows with the "X" will become new toilets in the Women's restroom and the walls will open up for better flow and usage.

Here's a shot after the demo.  All the walls were made of 3-celled hollow clay masonry tiles.  Notice the original light fixture which will be renovated.

The large tall loading doors in the distance created HVAC problems and distractions to the users.  A dividing wall made of durorock cement board will provide the needed separation.

An old ductway will be used to build a stairway to the attic for workers and maintenance.  The old wooden ladder was narrow and dangerous for moving tools and equipment.

The steel stairs from the attic to the roof was reused and a steel door was cut off and place in the south penthouse wall to access the new HVAC units.  The hole in the foreground will become the new stairs from below.

The old wooden ladder comes up through the small hole under the black box.  The hole in the foreground will become the stairs from below.  The door to the roof is just to the right edge of the picture.
